Super Frothy Homemade Hot Chocolate #SuperBloggerChallenge2019

A lot of you might be knowing that I don’t drink tea or coffee or even milk for that matter. I remember aunties making juices only for me when I visit them just because I don’t drink anything else! The term “Hot Chocolate” was completely unaware to me until I visited UK//Europe. And then hot chocolate became my bae.

We settled back in Kerala last year, and my love for hot chocolate has not gone! Visits to coffee shops always ended in a cup of hot chocolate. But that was not enough! I started making hot chocolates at home with some minimal items, even though it’s hot outside, LOL! If you are a hot chocolate fan like me, you would enjoy making and having it too. Here goes the recipe of the super frothy hot chocolate that can be easily made at home. Oh, and this serves for just one.

Things you will need:

Full-Fat/Whole Milk – 1 cup
Sugar – 1 teaspoon
Grated Chocolate – 2 tablespoons
Chocolate Chips
Whipped Cream
Instacuppa Milk Frother Wand

Recipe Preparation:

Heat a saucepan and add the milk into it. I prefer full-fat milk here as it creates a richer foam when froths. Add sugar and the grated chocolate and stir well with a wire whisk or spatula. Heat it on a medium to low heat until the chocolate is melted and the milk is heated up. Do not bring it to boil. Stir it continuously so that the chocolate doesn’t burn.

You can either use hot chocolate powder or original chocolate curls. But then make sure you take a good product to get the real taste of hot chocolate. I always prefer to add some grated chocolate even if I add the cocoa powder because hot chocolate is never complete without some real chocolate!

Once it is done, remove it to a cup. It is now time to froth the milk. Keep frothing with the Instacuppa Milk Frother Wand as much as you want. I like to get a thick foam. Click here to buy one for yourself as it is the best I have ever come across. It is so convenient as it is portable and handy. It even comes with a stand.

Lastly, top it with some whipped cream along with some chocolate chips. You can add some marshmallows, grated chocolate, chocolate curls or you can even sift some cocoa over the top. Oh, and I love to add some Hershey’s chocolate syrup onto it as well. Now you know how much I love chocolate!!

I’m pretty sure that you will gobble it in no time. It’s that delicious!

Christmas is over, yes. But you basically should not wait for a specific time or season to make one for yourself, right? Go, make one by yourself and have it all by yourself and let it be a way of self-care😉. Oops, wait. Valentine’s day is just two days away!! I swear this recipe would help you win your spouse’s heart. Go for it. Happy Valentine’s Day in advance❤️.

Ah Nimmy I love this recipe with its uninhibited mention of full fat, sugar and cream. How many people actually admit to liking such a wonderfully tasty and wholesome drink! Food without fat is like the day without the sun. How can you ever enjoy food that is bland and fatless? Please do drink an extra cup of hot chocolate for me as currently, I’ve run out of cocoa…..

Hot chocolate is just what it sounds like: It’s chocolate that is hot. My chocolate is mixed with hot milk or sometime steamed as with a latte.

I like hot chocolate and occasionally do consume it but I am and always shall be a tea addict. And after my forty-fifth year, I switched over to Green tea because of health considerations. Your recipe is very clearly written. Great post.
